How Peels Improve Skin
Chemical peeling is a procedure that aims to accelerate skin exfoliation by the use of chemical substances resulting in renewed, healthier looking skin and more uniform complexion.
What To Expect In Treatment
The complete treatment is expected to take 60 minutes, which includes ample time to address any questions you have, and a discussion on post-peel care. The actual application procedure is approximately 20 minutes. Tingling sensations may occur but vary from patient to patient. Your Medical Esthetician can provide a handheld fan used during the procedure if any discomfort occurs.
Prepping For The Peel
Any procedures or products that may increase skin sensitivity should be avoided before your treatment. Ask your provider for details.
The Ideal Candidate
Every Botox treatment is completely dependent upon the individual and their unique skin. All toxin procedures are administered in units (Dysport is 3:1). Each area requires a certain amount to properly freeze the muscles being treated. Whether your wrinkles and lines are just starting to emerge, are quite minor, or deeply ingrained, Botox can help.
About The Peel
Most treatments last for three to four months in most patients. To maximize the lifespan of Botox, avoid sun exposure and use a high quality medical-grade skincare line like Alastin or SkinMedica. These products are available for purchase in our office or online, delivered right to your doorstep.
Right After Treatment
Botox combines quite well with other noninvasive cosmetic treatments and procedures. However, “tox” is great at erasing wrinkles, but it doesn’t do anything to change the texture, the tone, or the overall luminosity of the skin. How Long Between Treatments?
For maximum results, this peel can be received every 2 weeks until desired results are achieved. Results are cumulative and optimal benefits are seen with a series of 3 or more peels.
