Sculptra is a powerful collagen stimulator, composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). These micro particles are injected into the skin and once absorbed, they help generate the replacement of lost collage. Over time, this collagen production rebuilds the skin’s inner and outer structure. We like to think of Sculptra as the foundation or the “cake” and all other injectable treatments are the “icing” on the cake that fine tune and add beautiful detail to enhance its presentation.

Sculptra may be a better option than fillers when it comes to cost and time, depending on the area you are looking to treat. Hyaluronic acid fillers dissolve over time and can last longer for some than others. After an initial series of Sculptra treatments, we suggest 1 maintenance vial of Sculptra per year for optimal results.
Collagen is important when it comes to looking youthful and natural. Collagen helps maintain your skin’s shape and structure. Think of collagen as the mattress on your bed and your skin as the sheet. If your mattress is deflated and worn, then the sheet will not lay firm and tight over it. This is why maintaining collagen and regenerating collagen is a key component for both men and women if you are seeking a more youthful-looking appearance.
Sculptra gradually boosts new collagen (aka neocollagenesis) which takes place in the. deeper layers of the skin. This new collagen helps to thicken and tighten the skin. It improves the texture of the skin, but most importantly it helps to naturally restore global volume loss!
Sculptra results can last up to 2-3 years- In our experience, with proper maintenance, we have seen results lasting even longer!
Biostimulators work gradually. Results are typically noticed around the 2 month mark and peak at 4 months. A series of 2-3 treatments are typically recommended with them taking place about 4-6 weeks apart. Then just one maintenance treatment a year thereafter.
